Óin (TA 2238-TA 2488) was a king of Durin's Folk. In TA 2385, he ascended the throne and largely had an uneventful time with those under his Rule. This time was when Sauron returned to power, under the alias, the Necromancer. He had a son named Náin II . His descendent Óin son of Gróin is presumably named after him
