Biography[]

Early life[]

Thorin was born TA 2866 to Dain Ironfoot in the Iron Hills. The origins of his epithet, Stonehelm, were unknown. After the death of Thorin Oakenshield, Thorin III became the Prince of Durin's Folk when his father took over as king under the mountain. Sometime later, Dain fought in the battle of Dale, where he parished. Together with his friend, Bard II, Stonehelm and his ally saved their lives after days of siege.

He did eventually die of old age and had a descendant Durin the Last.
