Thráin I, also known as Thráin the Old, was the son of Náin I and King of Durin's Folk and the first King under the Mountain. He died and left his position for his son, Thorin I. After the death of Nain, Thrain I led his friends and family members to where they would reside in the Grey Mountains and The Lonely Mountain and became the first king under the Mountain
